Poles migrate to work but not for good - research

Poles who migrate to work, notably to Britain and Ireland, are not likely to stay there for good, according to findings of research conducted by the Institute of Public Affairs in Warsaw (ISP).

The ISP report is based on a poll among Poles who returned home after spending at least three months in Britain or Ireland over the past 10 years.
33 pc of the polled said they intended to go abroad again and 37 pc declared they would not. One third had no plans either way.

Most of the polled described their decision on returning to Poland as the right one (65 pc). Only 5 pc said they were disappointed upon return and wanted to leave again. JH
